A big part of my job as a ski mountaineer involves being my own avalanche forecaster. I always like to give the snow a day or two to stabilize before getting into more radical terrain after a big snowstorm (especially if it comes with a lot of wind, like today's storm). Powder days, when wind slabs are more reactive, are better spent skiing lower angle and lower consequence terrain with friends like @brodyleven and @acpictures!
