I came to Slovenia to find a new challenge. It's always difficult to figure out terrain and snowpack in a new country, especially when your group is self-guided and human-powered (and jet lagged). Sometimes, you have to slow down, take a step back, and deal with setbacks, whether it's the weather or transportation. Sometimes it's hard to accept a new plan that was not your first choice, but then I remember, life is not always about the summits, the real goal is to have the most fun.
