Throwback Thursday! In this photo, from two years ago, I was experiencing the beginning stages of hypothermia at almost 18,000' on Pisco in the Cordillera Blanca mountain range in Peru. I remember not wanting to eat (very unusual for me) and feeling disoriented and argumentative. I eventually warmed up, and was fine, but it was a painful moment, and mentally challenging. On the mountain, I find it relatively easy to deal with discomfort. Off the mountain, in my everyday life, I am learning how to better embrace painful challenges I encounter, and greet them with the same energy and fortitude I have when I'm in the mountains. Throwback was inspired by following @janelle.smiley and @smileysproject recent trip to Peru. Would love to get back there to ski. #bigmtndreams
