Some days the mountains grant you passage through their corridors. Other days, they give you clear signals to stay away. Today, we turned around on our objective due to wind-loading (creating dangerous avalanche conditions) and poor visibility. But it was an absolute pleasure to share a skintrack and adventure with someone who is a huge inspiration to me, @emiliedrinkwater. She is the 9th American woman to become an internationally certified mountain guide, and she is an all around crusher in all disciplines, with first ascents in Alaska and the Karakoram.
